EL SALVADOR: GEISHA

ORDER AGAIN

FROM OUR HEAD ROASTER:

"I am super excited that we have sourced a Geisha varietal for our first special release coffee of 2025.

Geisha, from the Arabica species, is best-known for its popularity in Panama. Inherently a very delicate, floral coffee with a tea like mouthfeel, seedlings have been exported to other coffee growing countries across the Americas in recent years.

This Geisha is from El Salvador, directly sourced from Tomas, the farmer who produces our wonderful El Salvador red bourbon coffee. The terroir (country, altitude, climate, soil) is hugely important for any varietal, as it contributes to its final flavour profile. In this respect, this Geisha - which is a natural processed coffee - is no different. It benefits from the climatic conditions on Tomas' farm to give us its unique taste.

After a couple of test roasts on our small sample roaster, I am very excited to put the Geisha through its paces on our main production roaster. On the cupping table we found it to be absolutely delicious, with flavour notes of elderflower, sweet lemon, and white peach.

Because it is so delicate on the palette, I invite you to try it in your preferred filter brewing vessel, and challenge you - if you usually enjoy milk with your coffee - to taste this Geisha without milk. In its purest form like this, the subtle flavours will shine like the El Salvadorian sun!

I truly hope that you enjoy your drinking experience of this unique natural processed Geisha."
