We're Looking for a Roastery Assistant
We're on the lookout for the right person to support our roastery activities and receive great exposure to all aspects of coffee, from sourcing to roasting to cupping to brewing.
As a roastery assistant you will assist with packing, dispatch and inventory management, and will support our Head Roaster with aspects of the coffee roasting process.
No prior experience required, but a passion for coffee and desire to learn will be highly regarded. Please note: This role may require heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
-Packing coffee & labelling
-General cleaning / tidiness of roastery
-Dispatch & logistics, liaising with our couriers
-Assisting with / learning the roasting process
-Coffee cupping / sensory analysis to support purchasing
-Help with intake of green coffees
Requirements:
-Ability to follow procedures
-Able to show initiative and be adaptable to changing schedules
-Physically fit, able to move heavy loads
-Enthusiasm and keenness to learn
-An interest in coffee is highly valuable, but prior industry experience is unnecessary
