Providing a link between our customers and coffee farmers
Working directly with coffee farmers puts us in a unique position to share updates on their farms and businesses. We feel it is important to do this to show our customers how the coffee that they buy supports individual coffee businesses.
We’ve been working hard to find a simple way to show these updates and provide our customers with as much information as possible on where their coffee comes from. To this end, we’ve created a QR code system which we will update with information about each individual coffee and the farmer that produced it.
Providing a link between our customers & farmers
We see ourselves as having the ability to bridge the gap between our customers and farmers. To this end, we’ve been working on ways to provide information in a simple format. Our customers are supplied with QR codes on the labels of each pack. These link through to the web page for the relevant coffee with farmer details and updates.
How to use the QR code
Many phones will allow you to scan the QR code with your camera function. Just open up the camera, hover over the QR and it should detect chimneyfirecoffee.com and the relevant coffee page!
Information you’ll have access to
We’re aiming to update you with information on how the beans you buy are going to support farmers businesses. For example, recently we were able to provide support to Jorge Taboda in Colombia who was able to improve his drying facilities.
We’re currently working on developing the update feature and would love to hear from you if you have any thoughts on what information you’d like to see - you can reach us on dan@chimneyfirecoffee.com.
