A temporary stand-in for our El Salvador single origin, this naturally processed Ugandan coffee is grown by smallholder farmers at high altitude, delivering a vibrant, well-balanced cup with juicy acidity, sweet fruit notes, and a smooth, clean finish.
PROFILE AND PARTNERSHIP
This coffee comes from dedicated producers in Uganda, where smallholder farmers work at high altitudes to grow coffee with clarity, sweetness and balance. Rich volcanic soils, cool mountain air and meticulous attention in both the field and at the pulper create beans that deliver vibrant flavour and a smooth, clean finish.
This Uganda lot showcases the best characteristics of the region: juicy acidity, sweet fruit notes and a layered cup profile that stands out in both filter and espresso brewing.
THE FARMS
This coffee is produced by smallholder farmers in Uganda, where coffee is typically grown on small family plots and processed collectively at local washing stations.
Farms in this region benefit from fertile soils and favourable growing conditions, with coffee often intercropped alongside food crops. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness before being carefully processed to highlight clarity, sweetness and balance in the cup.
By working closely with partners on the ground, we’re able to source coffees that reflect both the character of the region and the dedication of the people who grow them - supporting quality-focused production and more resilient livelihoods for farming communities.
