Our Ethiopia Single Origin comes from the Kecho Anderacha Cooperative in Agaro, part of the Jimma Zone in southwest Ethiopia.

This region is sometimes less well known than Yirgacheffe, but it produces beautifully expressive coffees with the floral clarity and sweetness Ethiopia is famous for. This fully washed Grade 1 lot is made up of Ethiopian heirloom varieties, a broad term for the many naturally occurring arabica types found in the country.

In the cup, expect jasmine, lemongrass and a sweet agave-like body. Clean, floral and distinctive, this is a great choice for filter drinkers looking for a bright and elegant Ethiopian coffee.

ABOUT KECHO ANDERACHA

Kecho Anderacha Cooperative is based in Agaro, in Ethiopia’s Jimma Zone, southwest of Addis Ababa. The area has a long history of coffee production and is known for producing washed coffees with clarity, sweetness and floral complexity.

This coffee is graded as Limu Grade 1, the highest quality grade for fully washed lots from the region. Like many Ethiopian coffees, it is made up of heirloom varieties - a broad term used for the many naturally occurring arabica types found across Ethiopia.
