The SCA Brewing Foundation course will introduce you to an assortment of methods to start brewing coffee.
You will receive educational as well as practical hands-on instruction for a range of devices including automatic and manual gravity brewers.
Exploring how to produce a tasty brew based on an understanding of the essential brewing elements and getting the most out of your brewing equipment.
For those wanting accreditation there will be an online exam sat at the end of the course.
SCA Brewing Foundation – 1 day
Ready to get hands-on with brewing delicious coffee? The Brewing Foundation course is the perfect place to start if you’re new to filter brewing or want to build confidence using manual methods like V60, cafetière, AeroPress and batch brewers.
In this approachable and practical course, we’ll explore how grind size, brew ratio, time and water all affect flavour giving you the skills to make better coffee, more consistently. You’ll learn how to taste and evaluate your brews, understand the basics of extraction, and start to troubleshoot when things don’t taste quite right.
No previous experience is needed, just an interest in brewing and a love for good coffee. This course is ideal for home brewers, new baristas, or anyone looking to understand the fundamentals of brewing with clarity and confidence.
